· It is more than clear that the capital was assisted almost immediately if compared to the southern regions of the country that were most affected by the earthquake on February 27 8.8. Neither the Navy could communicate with the affected areas who had no satellite phones hence the confusion when giving warning of tsunami that killed hundreds Chileans.
In Santiago you can say that nothing happened, of course, the epicenter was in the south and completed since the tsunami devastated entire populations, but I tell them that I went through almost 3 communes (municipalities ) about 20 minutes by taxi to the dawn of the earthquake and everything was calm an occasional drop wall, cracks in some buildings, mostly older, etc and after 2 days of the earthquake and people were out shopping, in cafes, restaurants, hairdressers, here's the other side of the coin, and I must say after having experienced the earthquake the contrast of the people as if nothing had happened which struck me enough, and now people do not talk about it.
On the other hand, considering that the present Government has received a country with a disaster of unimaginable magnitude which squeezes the budget seems to forget that there are people living in tents . Reflect only because watching the news today, I think the Government should give priority to working 24Hrs homes if possible and do halfway houses (and that have been delivered but without water, plumbing, light itself without basic services and so they are creating another problem) and then expect approval of budgets but they speak of strong investment and rebuilding the national stadium or the bicentennial events regarding stadium surely the day of its opening will be affected when one side loses and the opponent is holding and they do of their own destruction facilities and with respect to the bicentenary is like they told you when you wanted an expensive toy right now I have no money and no I can buy you another month will see the first I have to buy the uniforms .... ie, set priorities and the priority should be the people who are hungry and cold in a tent because they have no homes.
